Job summary

Quest Diagnostics seeks a Phlebotomist II for Summit, NJ. The role covers travel within an assigned territory to PSCs and client offices, performing venipuncture and capillary draws with care for accurate labeling and processing.

You will work independently to deliver high-quality specimens and patient service, with rotation and varied hours. A valid phlebotomy certification in relevant states is preferred, with potential for performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Two years of phlebotomy experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification required in CA, NV, WA, and LA.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collections following procedures for venipuncture and capillary draws, handling difficult collections with minimal error.
• Obtain patient identification and confirm labeling accuracy; perform necessary data entry.
• Prepare specimens for transport and testing; label, centrifuge, split, and store as required.
• Independently resolve routine patient and client concerns and escalate non-routine issues as needed.
