Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Festus, MO, is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotational weekends. The pay range is $21.50+ per hour, with potential annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, processing, data entry, and maintaining compliance with policies. Requirements include a minimum of three years phlebotomy experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and phlebotomy certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Must be flexible and available based on staffing needs, weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders in lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments as required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, calls and emails.
• Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission as needed.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance, temperature) in a timely manner.
