Quest Diagnostics in Richardson, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team on a Monday to Friday schedule, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Pay starts at $22.35 per hour, with potential annual bonus consideration based on performance and organizational factors.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, verifying orders, data entry, and maintaining logs and departmental records. A high school diploma and phlebotomy experience are required; certification preferred where

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
• Must be flexible and available weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact; enter data accurately.
• Navigate computer systems to enter data correctly.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments when required.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails).
• Follow departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions; maintain logs (maintenance, temperature).
• Complete training courses timely.
