Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV and WA.
• 1-3 years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure a safe, accurate phlebotomy process.
• Verify patient demographic info and signatures post-venipuncture to confirm labeling.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Travel to multiple locations and cover in-office/in-center phlebotomy as needed.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
