Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Years of experience: Minimum 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience – REQUIRED
Skills/Specialties/Technology: Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and collect high-quality blood specimens.
Perform pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Handle clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.
Verify patient demographic information and required documentation.
Obtain patient signatures following venipuncture when required.
Verify specimen labels and ensure accurate patient identification.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Explain collection procedures clearly and professionally to patients.
Create a welcoming, comfortable, and trustworthy patient experience.
