The ideal candidate has 3 years of phlebotomy experience, a phlebotomy certification, and prior patient-facing/service experience. High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and maintain an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
• Perform daily activities accurately under supervision and maintain a safe, professional environment.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and confidentiality.
• Maintain required records and documentation and promote a positive image to patients and staff.
• Work with patients of all ages in clinic settings.
