Job summary

Our Client in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Phlebotomist II to collect blood samples, prep specimens for lab testing, and communicate procedures to patients. You will maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and a professional demeanor while supporting the area supervisor.

The role requires 3 years of phlebotomy experience, HS diploma or equivalent, and preferred medical assistant or paramedic training with phlebotomy certification. On-site duties emphasize quality service and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Responsibilities

• Represents the face of the company to patients who come in.
• Draws quality blood samples and prepares those specimens for lab testing.
• Explains procedures to patients and draws blood in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
• Demonstrates leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs daily activities accurately under the direction of the area supervisor; maintains records and documentation.
• Maintains a safe and professional environment; promotes a positive image to patients and staff.
• Performs both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing per procedures.
