Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated seeks a Phlebotomist II for Hanford, CA, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with rotational weekends. A state phlebotomy license is required; CA, WA, and NV licensing rules apply. Pay range is $23.80–$26.00 per hour, with potential annual bonus depending on performance.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, processing, data entry, and adhering to policies. High school diploma or equivalent required; phlebotomy certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client information.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain IDs and enter billing info, collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Handle non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read and comply with department policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics/data submission when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
