Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist II Part-Time in North Bergen, NJ on a rotating schedule (3:00 PM to 12:00 AM). The hospital-based role at Palisades involves specimen collection, data entry, and patient services in a fast-paced setting.

Pay ranges from $23.20 to $24.90 per hour with potential 10%–15% shift differentials and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Benefits include time off, retirement plans, education assistance, and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens per procedures, including drug screens and biometric exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders and enter data using lab technology systems and client contacts.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, and emails.
• Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compiling statistics and data as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
