Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist II for the Bowie, MD area on a 2-month contract. The role involves drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and interacting with patients in a professional, confidential manner.

Travel to multiple Patient Service Centers is required, with overtime as needed. The ideal candidate has at least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, and holds a phlebotomy certification, with state-specific

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification required in CA, NV, WA.
• Phlebotomy Certification required (per State Credentials / Licenses field).

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Verify patient demographics / initials and tube labeling in patient presence.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public.
