Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Crystal Lake, IL. The role operates Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM with rotational weekends; pay range $23.20-$24.90 per hour.

You will collect specimens, perform data entry, and support lab operations in a patient-centered environment. Qualified candidates have at least three years phlebotomy experience, strong accuracy with data systems, and a HS diploma.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, sanitation, filing, phones, and email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
