Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Hoffman Estates, IL. The role runs Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotation every other Saturday 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The pay range is $23.20–$24.90 per hour, with eligibility for annual bonus based on performance. The position requires three years of phlebotomy experience, strong data entry skills, and a willingness to work weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client information.
• Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required, per policies.
• Process specimens with labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, sanitation, filing and email usage.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and related records.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
