Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens and support patient testing. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekends.

You will handle labeling, processing and data entry while maintaining compliance with lab policies. Requirements include three years of phlebotomy experience (pediatric, geriatric, capillary), reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required incl. pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available to work weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems, client contact and approved tools.
• Navigate computers and enter data accurately.
• Obtain ID and enter billing information; collect payments when required.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stocks, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails).
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance and temperature logs).
• Complete training courses timely.
