Job summary

The position runs Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotating weekend duties; requires three years of phlebotomy experience and English communication. Educational requirements include a high school diploma and preferred phlebotomy certification.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test/client information and orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments following policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Read, understand, and follow departmental policies.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions as needed.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs.
• Complete training courses timely.
