Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Plano, TX is hiring a Phlebotomist II for Monday–Friday 7:45 AM–4:45 PM with rotational weekends. This role collects specimens, performs drug screens and biometric screenings, and uses lab systems to verify orders and enter data.

Candidates should have at least three years of phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and phlebotomy certification where required. Strong English communication and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens, biometric screenings, and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders and enter data using lab technology systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments as needed.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitation, filing, phones, emails.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
