Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Charlotte, NC. The role operates on a schedule of Mon Tue Thu 11:00 AM–5:00 PM, Wed 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Fri 8:00 AM–2:00 PM, with pay at $21.50+ per hour. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, data entry, and ensuring accurate order verification.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones and emails.
• Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
