Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Wilmington, NC, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Pay range starts at $21.50 per hour. The role includes specimen collection, data entry, and patient handling in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualified candidates have 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, and the ability to navigate lab systems and billing processes. California/Nevada/Washington certifications not required here.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read and comply with policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs.
• Complete trainings timely.
