Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Columbia, SC is seeking a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. The role offers a pay range of $21.50+ per hour and includes eligibility for annual bonus based on performance.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, patient interaction, and maintaining logs. Requires 3 years phlebotomy experience, high school diploma, and phlebotomy certification preferred; valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, incl. pediatric/geriatric/capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible based on staffing needs; weekends/holidays/on-call/overtime possible.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders with lab systems and client contact.
• Enter data accurately and navigate computer systems.
• Label, centrifuge, aliquot, freeze, and prepare specimens for transport.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
