Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Peekskill, NY, is hiring a Phlebotomist II. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational Saturdays 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Pay range is $24.50 - $26.25 per hour, with potential annual bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Verify test/client information and confirm and verify orders using lab systems and client data.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones and emails.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
