Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Suffern, NY, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with rotational weekend shifts. The role offers a pay range of $25.80-$27.65 per hour and eligibility for annual performance bonuses. Responsibilities include specimen collection, patient prep, data entry, and proper specimen handling.

A HS diploma and phlebotomy experience are required. Applicants should be flexible, possess reliable transportation, and be able to work with diverse patient

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required according to policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing and filing.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and training completions timely.
