Job summary

Endeavor Health in Buffalo Grove, IL seeks a Phlebotomist - ICC to join our laboratory team. The role includes phlebotomy, specimen processing and point-of-care testing, with responsibility for outpatient registration and order entry, under the ICC Lab Manager.

You will perform pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical tasks, travel to all ICC labs as needed, and support patients with compassionate service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum one year phlebotomy experience with all age groups or a phlebotomy certification from an approved school.
• At least one year of direct customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, specimen processing and point-of-care testing (POCT).
• Provide customer service support including outpatient registration and order entry, and assist with medical necessity documentation at point of service.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Phlebotomist - ICC
• Location: 15 S McHenry Rd. Buffalo Grove, IL.
• Full Time: 36 hours/ week
• Hours: Monday-Friday (7am – 5pm) with rotating start times on 8hr shift. Rotating weekends (8am – 12pm)
• Required Travel: Float to all 4 ICC Labs
• This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do:

Reporting to the ICC Lab Manager, the ICC Lab Specialist performs a variety of pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical functions in the laboratory. This includes key laboratory duties such as providing customer service support including outpatient registration and order entry, completion of medical necessity at point of service, phlebotomy, specimen processing and point of care testing (POCT).

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Some college level courses preferred.
• Certification: Minimum one-year phlebotomy experience with all age groups required or certification from an approved school of phlebotomy.
• Experience: Minimum of one-year experience in direct customer service preferred.
• Valid drivers license and auto insurance - required
