Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Frisco, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join a daytime schedule: Mon–Thu 7:30 AM–5:00 PM and Fri 7:30 AM–12:30 PM. You will collect specimens, ensure proper labeling and data entry, and support routine lab operations.

The role requires three years of phlebotomy experience and strong data-entry skills; English communication is essential. Certification is preferred, with regional requirements for some states.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required following policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and related documentation.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
