Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Dallas, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team. The schedule runs Monday–Tuesday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM and Wednesday–Friday 10:00 AM–7:00 PM with rotational weekends, and duties include accurate specimen collection in a fast-paced lab.

Ideal candidates have at least three years of phlebotomy experience (pediatric and geriatric collections), and strong data entry skills. A high school diploma is required; phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Keyboard and data entry experience.
• Flexible and available on weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test/client orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones and email.
• Read and comply with policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions.
• Maintain phlebotomy and maintenance logs.
• Complete training courses timely.
