Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Sturbridge, MA is seeking a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens and support patient services. The shift is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a pay range of $24.50-$26.25 per hour.

Health benefits begin Day 1 for full-time staff, and performance bonuses may be awarded based on results. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, managing orders, performing data entry, and ensuring accurate labeling and processing of samples.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required per policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission as needed.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
