Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Westmont, IL. This full-time day-shift position runs Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a rotating Saturday 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Pay range is $21.75 to $24.90 per hour.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, processing, labeling, data entry, and maintaining logs. Requires three years of phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma, and English communication abilities; phlebotomy certification is preferred (CA/NV/WA

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Must be flexible to weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA/NV/WA).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Enter data accurately in computer systems.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, calls/emails.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and timely training completion.
