Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for West Haven, UT, Monday to Thursday 8:45 AM to 4:45 PM. The role involves specimen collection, sample preparation, and data entry into lab systems to support accurate test orders.

Requirements include three years phlebotomy experience (pediatric/geriatric/capillary), high school diploma, and phlebotomy certification preferred; certification may be required in CA/NV/WA. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required following policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones and email.
• Read and comply with policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance records.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
