Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in The Woodlands, TX, seeks a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens, including drug screens and biometric tests, Monday to Friday 7:30 AM–4:30 PM with rotational weekends. The role involves operating lab systems, verifying orders, and assisting with billing accuracy.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify all orders using lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties like inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones and email.
• Read, understand and comply with policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data compilation when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and training completion.
