Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. in Augusta, GA is hiring a Phlebotomist II for a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Pay starts at $20.00 per hour, with eligibility for annual bonus based on performance and company factors.

You will collect specimens, administer oral solutions, verify orders, enter data, and maintain logs. A high school diploma and phlebotomy experience are required; phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information, and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, and handling phones/emails.
• Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and various maintenance/temperature logs.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
