Quest Diagnostics in Emporia, VA is hiring a Phlebotomist II. The role supports specimen collection, patient processing, and data entry in a fast-paced laboratory setting. Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekends; pay range $21.50–$23.05 per hour.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard and data entry skills are essential.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Verify test orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, and email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs in a timely manner and based on frequency.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
