Quest Diagnostics in Reston, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team on a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekends. The role collects specimens, prepares specimens for testing, and ensures accurate documentation in our lab systems.

Candidates should have at least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, plus data entry skills. A high school diploma is required, and phlebotomy certification is preferred where

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, cleaning, filing, phones, emails.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
