Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Reston, VA, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekends. The role offers a pay range of $23.20 - $24.90 per hour and eligibility for annual bonuses based on performance, with comprehensive benefits starting from Day 1 for eligible positions.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, verifying orders, data entry, and maintaining logs and equipment.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders and patient information using lab systems and client communication.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain ID and enter billing information, collecting payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient-facing duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, and email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and comply with policies.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
