Quest Diagnostics in Horizon City, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team. The role involves collecting specimens, phlebotomy duties, and data entry using lab systems, with a Monday–Friday schedule and rotational weekends.

Responsibilities include processing samples, ensuring accurate ordering and billing, and maintaining logs while adhering to departmental policies and training requirements. A HS diploma and phlebotomy experience are required; CA/NV/WA certification is preferred where

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required according to policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phone and email tasks.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
