Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in West Orange, NJ, invites applications for a Phlebotomist II. The role operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays. Competitive hourly pay ranges from $24.50 to $26.25, plus eligibility for annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, order verification with lab systems, data entry, and maintaining logs. Requires 3 years of phlebotomy experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify orders using lab technology systems.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, email).
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
