Phlebotomist II - 1st Shift in South Plainfield, NJ. This contract role involves drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining patient safety and confidentiality. Onsite work with potential location flexibility.

Requires high school diploma, phlebotomy experience, and ability to travel to multiple locations as needed. Compensation $24.51–$26.27 per hour, 2-month contract, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Verify patient demographic info and initials post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.
