Job description

Title: Phlebotomist II

Duration: 3 months

Shift: 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. EST, Mon-Fri and every other weekend

Location: Doylestown, Pennsylvania, 18901

Description:

1. The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients, assisting with health routines and health decisions.
2. The PSR II draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing, following established procedures.
3. Creates an atmosphere of trust with patients, explaining procedures and drawing blood safely and accurately.
4. Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy.
5. Assignments may include doctor's offices, patient service centers, or other locations as needed.
6. Performs daily activities accurately and on time under supervision.
7. Maintains a safe and professional environment.
8. Performs forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following protocols.
9. Verifies patient demographic information and labels tubes in the presence of the patient.
10. Maintains records and documentation.
11. Promotes a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.

Job Requirements:

1. Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
3. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
4. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

7. Reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record if applicable.

Required Education:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
3. Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in CA, NV, WA.

Work Experience:

1. At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
2. Preferred: 2+ years in a Patient Service Center environment.
3. Customer service experience in retail or service sectors; keyboard/data entry skills.
