Job Overview/Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Phlebotomist II to join our healthcare services team. In this role, you will be responsible for specimen collection, data entry, and ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols. This is a patient-facing role that requires exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screenings, and insurance exams
  • Administer oral solutions per training protocols
  • Verify test/client information through lab systems and approved tools
  • Accurately enter data using computer systems
  • Obtain patient identification and billing information, collect payments as needed
  • Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport
  • Perform inventory management, stock supplies, sanitization, filing, and email communication
  • Comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures
  • Compile and submit data and statistics as required
  • Maintain phlebotomy-related logs (maintenance, temperature, etc.)
  • Complete online and in-person training sessions on time
  • Travel to additional doctor's offices or Patient Service Center (PSC) locations as needed

Primary Skills

  • Proficient in phlebotomy techniques
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities

Secondary Skills (Good To Have)

  • Medical assistant or paramedic training
  • Experience working in retail or service environments

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA)
  • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience preferred
  • Prior experience with customer service and keyboard/data entry
