Description:
- The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) interacts directly with patients, representing the face of our company during their health routines or health decisions.
- Draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
- Creates a trusting environment by explaining procedures clearly and drawing blood safely and accurately.
- Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and confidentiality.
- Assignments may vary between doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or as needed.
- Performs daily activities accurately and on time under supervision.
- Maintains a safe, professional environment.
- Handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing confidently, adhering to procedures.
- Verifies patient demographic info and labels tubes in the presence of the patient.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation.
- Promotes a positive image and organizational commitment.

- Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
- Works independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexible with staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Adheres to policies, safety, dress code, and guiding principles.
- Makes decisions based on established procedures and exercises good judgment.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.
- Willing to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations.
- Handles multiple priorities efficiently in high-volume settings.
- Demonstrates superior customer focus and effective communication skills.
Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training preferred: medical assistant or paramedic.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
- At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service settings preferred.
- Keyboard and data entry skills.
