The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients, whether as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures. They have direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. Depending on the needs, they may be assigned to a doctor’s office, a patient service center, or other locations. Under the supervision of the area manager, they perform daily activities accurately and timely, maintaining a safe and professional environment. They handle forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties, verifying patient demographic information and labeling accuracy post-venipuncture. Maintaining required records and promoting a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public are essential aspects of the role.
