Responsibilities

• Update patient information and ensure accurate linkage of requisitions.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match laboratory requisitions to specimen tubes and labels.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations for specimen handling and transport.
• Attend annual department trainings and adhere to protocol for specimen integrity.
