Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Riverside, CA is hiring a Phlebotomist I to collect specimens and support routine lab operations. The role requires you to hold a state phlebotomy license (NHA licenses not accepted in CA) and works Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with rotational weekends.

Salary ranges from $24.00 to $25.70 per hour with potential annual bonus and comprehensive benefits. Prior phlebotomy experience and high school diploma preferred; phlebotomy certification preferred; company

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read, understand, and comply with policies and procedures.
• Assist with compiling statistics and data when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance, temperature, etc.).
• Complete online and in-person training on time.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred

Phlebotomy certification preferred
