Job summary

Health First seeks a Phlebotomist I to join its laboratory team. The role focuses on high-quality phlebotomy services and accurate specimen collection, ensuring patient safety and courteous interactions with customers.

The position requires a High School diploma or phlebotomy training, BLS certification, and demonstrated venipuncture experience. Work may involve offsite collections and variable shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or completion of phlebotomy training program.
• One year venipuncture experience preferred but not required.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Complies with Health First policies and laboratory procedures.
• Collects specimens accurately and timely, including offsite phlebotomy as applicable.
• Maintains patient safety and quality by avoiding identification errors.
• Performs basic computer tasks related to lab work and documentation.
• Participates in proficiency testing as required by state regulations.
