Job summary

Caringhand Home Health Solutions, Inc. seeks an experienced phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and specimen collection in patients' homes. You will verify patient information, collect samples, label correctly, and maintain documentation while following infection-control protocols.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• CDPH phlebotomy certification is required for duties.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.
• Phlebotomy diploma or extensive on‑the‑job training acceptable.
• Ability to work independently during home visits and travel to patients' homes.
• Valid driver's license and reliable insured vehicle are required for travel.

Responsibilities

• Organize daily assignments based on urgency of specimen collection requests.
• Identify patients and verify information using ID documents.
• Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures.
• Reassure patients and ensure comfortable collection.
• Label and deliver specimens for laboratory testing.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to infection-control standards.
• Document collection activities and any complications in the system.
• Communicate issues to clinical team promptly.
