Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Phlebotomist I for a Downey, CA assignment (4+ months). You will draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing, following established practices, while explaining procedures to patients to foster trust. California phlebotomy license is required.

Shift: Mon-Fri 6:30 am to 12 pm with Saturday rotation; alternative site. You will maintain records, ensure a safe environment, and perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection with confidence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA/NV/WA.
• Phlebotomy skills for pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Must provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and maintain trust and confidence.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Work with flexibility for weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
