Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join our Jasper, AL team. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a pay range of $20.00+ per hour. The role involves specimen collection, data entry, and handling billing information in a supportive, team-based environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, medical training preferred, and phlebotomy certification where required. Prior phlebotomy and customer service experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in some states.
• Medical training or certification preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures such as drug screens and biometric exams.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Enter data accurately in computer systems.
• Collect billing information and payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, transporting as required.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
