Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist I in Jasper, AL, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This part-time role offers $20.00+ per hour and potential bonus eligibility based on performance.

In this position you will collect specimens, handle labeling and processing, and support billing and data entry tasks. Strong English communication and customer service are essential, along with basic computer skills and accuracy in data entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test/client orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required per policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitation, filing, phones, email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
