Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred; customer service experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens for labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties including inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones and emails.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training.
