Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated Beaverton, OR is hiring a Phlebotomist I to join our team on a Monday to Friday schedule, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with rotational weekends. The role requires high school diploma and phlebotomy certification preferred where allowed; one year phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, entering orders in lab systems, and supporting patient service with accuracy and courtesy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred where required.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in retail/service environment preferred.
• Keyboard / data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens per established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete trainings timely.
