Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Port Orchard, WA is seeking a Phlebotomist I for a Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM schedule. The role requires a state phlebotomy license and offers competitive pay with potential annual bonus based on performance.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and verification of orders in lab systems, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance with policies. English communication and customer service experience are valued assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data for role success.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments as needed.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
