Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist I in Elk Grove, CA. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotational weekends, and requires a state phlebotomy license (NHA license not accepted in CA, WA, NV).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and confirm/verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately; follow billing processes as needed.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport preparation.
