Mayo Clinic in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Phlebotomist II to obtain blood samples from patients of all ages using venous, capillary, arterial, and line collections. You will work both independently and with a team to ensure accurate identification, labeling, handling, and transport of specimens, while delivering excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; on-going training provided.
• Phlebotomy experience in a medical setting encouraged.
• Ability to travel to other MCHS locations as needed.
• Moderate to advanced computer skills; good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quality blood samples using venous, capillary, arterial, and line collections.
• Respond rapidly to medical emergencies such as traumas and codes.
• Work independently and in teams; interact with patients, nurses, and providers.
• Ensure accurate patient identification, proper labeling, handling, and transport of specimens.
• Assist in training new employees and students.
